I just encountered while studying world history, story of the Silk Road.
At the time, China and the Silk Road corridor leading to the rise and fall of many Western European countries were moving in that passage of civilization, and gave intersect.
Silk Road, we learned of them maybe only in a small part.
When they first come to mind endless desert length Silk Road. Actually Silk Road area is the most difficult to live.
But the success of a tough journey had embraced the enormous wealth and fame.
